- Account
- Email sign-in identifies reports, confirmations, owner claims, saved vehicle preferences, favorites, and recent stations.
- Location
- Current location is requested only for nearby search, route context, and proof that a manual price report was made near the station. The MVP stores distance-from-station proof, not continuous location history.
- Reports
- Manual price reports store station, fuel type, price, timestamp, validation status, and the minimum proof fields needed to moderate trust.
- Owner claims
- Station owner claims store business contact details, verification notes, optional private proof files, claim status, and review notes.
- Leaderboard (optional)
- If you turn this on, your first name or nickname and the number of prices you sent this month are shown to other TankScan24 users in your municipality. You can turn it off at any time.
- Anonymous usage counts
- We count, per station and per day, how often it was shown in a list, opened, or used for navigation. These counts contain no account, device or location. They help us improve the app and, later, show station owners how many drivers saw their station. Once a day, the app also counts the phone type (iPhone or Android), the system and app version, and the app language — again without account, device or location — so we can make the app work well on every phone.
- How long we keep data
- Price history: 5 years, for trends and price estimates. Who reported or confirmed a price: 12 months; after that we keep the price without your name. Your account, car and saved stations: until you delete your account (in the app it is immediate; by email within 30 days). Accounts unused for 24 months are deleted after an email warning. Owner claim proof: while the claim is active, plus 12 months. Technical and admin logs: 12 months.
- Your rights
- You can request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or a portable copy of personal data. Some moderation, fraud-prevention, or legal records may need to be retained where law allows.
